Privacy policy
The short version
Warrior Insure does not ask for personal information, does not run quote forms, and does not sell anything about you. The calculators run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere. The only information you can hand over on purpose is an email address, if you choose to subscribe.
What is collected
- Server logs. The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, which records standard request data such as IP address, time, page requested, referring page and browser type. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
- Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google a truncated IP address, the pages you view, and general details such as your browser, device type and approximate region. It is used in aggregate, to decide what to write next.
- Email address, only if you subscribe to the newsletter, and only the address you type.
- Nothing from the calculators. The FEHB estimator and the life coverage calculator run in your browser. Salaries, coverage amounts and family details you type are never transmitted to us and are gone when you close the page.
What is not collected
- No accounts, no passwords, no profiles.
- No advertising cookies, no ad network, and no cross-site tracking.
- No quote forms, and no passing of your details to insurers, agents or lead buyers.
- No sale or rental of personal information to anyone, for any price.
- No collection of information from children under 13. This site is written for working-age adults and is not directed at children.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones. No advertising cookies are set, no advertising network runs on this site, and nothing here is used to build an advertising profile of you.
You can opt out in three ways: use your browser's do-not-track or cookie controls, install Google's opt-out add-on, or browse in private mode. Nothing on the site stops working if you do.
If advertising is added in future, this page will be updated before it goes live, and any consent required in your jurisdiction will be requested at that point.
If you subscribe, your address is used to send the newsletter described at signup and nothing else. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes the address. Email delivery is handled by a third-party provider, which processes the address on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes.
Links to other sites
Pages link to OPM, the VA, the IRS, insurers and other sites. Once you follow a link, that site's privacy policy governs, not this one. Some outbound links to insurers may be affiliate links, described on the advertiser disclosure page. Following one may let that company record that you arrived from here.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. In practice the only personal information this site holds is a newsletter address, and you can remove it yourself with the unsubscribe link or by writing to us. Requests go through the contact form.
Security and retention
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Hosting logs are kept by the hosting provider under its own retention schedule. No site is perfectly secure, and nothing here asks you for information sensitive enough to be worth stealing.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
